A Fakir Turns A Labourer
Outline: … A Fakir is passing through a wood… A hawk with a piece of
meat is sitting on the branch of a tree… A young crow stricken with
hunger and cold lies on the ground… the hawk feed the crow and comforts
him… the thoughts of the Fakir at the sight.
Once a Fakir was passing through the wood. He was hungry and had nothing to eadt. He wanted to cross the wood as soon as possible to reach some village where he might start begging for his midday meal.
He saw a hawk sitting on the branch of a tree. The bird had a big piece of meat in his mouth. He wished he could keep a hawk to kill birds for him. Just then he saw a young corw. Stricken with hunger and cold lying on the ground. The Fakir thought God is great but who could provide food for this dying bird in this wood when his dear and ear ones had all deserted him in this plight.
Next moment the Fakir saw the same hawk feeding and comforting the dying crow. This gave him food for thought. Strange are the ways of Providence. He said. A bird of prey feeds and comforts a dying bird.
The Fakir gave up the begging and began to earn his livelihood and always tried to comfort others.
